MOLLY WENDLAND

I have spent the last 20 years in a variety of sales, communication and writing positions, refining my people skills along the way. One of the greatest skills I’ve learned is that people are just people, no matter where you go. In 2001, I left the “rat race” to raise our daughters semi-full-time. That is to say, I started working for myself in a number of entrepreneurial endeavors. Being the keeper of my own hours has been a great way to help manage the day to day stresses of our household. These days, I also work a part-time “real” writing job in an office, so there’s certainly no lack for something to do!
Online Writer
Naturally, my writing skills have expanded in recent years to include the Internet. Currently, I work as a freelance writer for a number of online publications. Visit www.mollywendland.com to read about work that I have done or to see if I might be the one you’re looking for on your next project.
Book Author
In addition to collaborating with Michelle Lamar on “The White Trash Mom Handbook”, I am a contributing author to the book, “42 Rules of Working Moms” by Laura Lowell.

Personal Bio

In spite of the fact that we seem to be incredibly busy (who isn’t?), I am very happily married to my rock and college sweetheart, Steve Wendland. Steve is a civil engineer and strives to balance out all of my many quirks. I might say “to-may-to”, and he may say “to-mah-to”, but he’s the best thing that ever happened to me, bar none.

Next on that list would be our two teenage daughters, Kelsey and Paige, who keep us hopping on one foot most of the time. They help me remember that being a kid was not as easy as we often make it out to be. Of course, I do my best to remind them that they’ve got it pretty good, too.

When I’m not writing, you might find me drinking a nice glass of red wine on the patio and reading a good book. Yes, I know that may sound boring, but the rest of the time, it’s zero to 60 in about six seconds, so “patio time” makes for a nice break!
